We’re thrilled to announce that Grover has been nominated and selected as a finalist for the prestigious German Sustainability Award, one of Europe's leading honors for excellence in sustainability. This recognition places us among a select group of businesses driving impactful change by being lighthouse projects in climate, resources, nature, society, and value chain within 20 industries.
A milestone in our sustainability journey
Being named a finalist is a significant achievement that reflects our deep commitment to sustainability and increasing transparency in communicating our efforts. The German Sustainability Award acknowledges companies that set new benchmarks in sustainable business operations and demonstrate leadership through visionary practices. For us, this nomination is a powerful endorsement of our ongoing efforts to build a business that contributes positively to society and the environment. At the core of this recognition is our circular economy business model. By emphasizing responsible resource management, reducing waste, and extending the lifecycle of our products, we’re helping to create a more sustainable future.
Our key sustainability initiatives
Several initiatives played a critical role in our nomination, including:
Reduce, reuse, recycle: Our circular model promotes the reuse of products and reduces the need for new resources. By designing our rental plans with longevity and recirculation in mind, we have the potential to significantly decrease e-waste production.
Reducing our Corporate Carbon Footprint: We have calculated our Corporate Carbon Footprint over the past three years. We’re continuously working on data quality improvements to stay updated on emission reduction targets, in line with the findings and commitments of the Paris Agreement.
- A first step to reduce our scope 1 and 2 emissions was switching to a renewable energy supply for our Headquarters.
- We also reviewed our packaging material, optimizing sizes and switching to more sustainable materials to address some of the emissions from purchased goods & services.
- To tackle the big chunk of our scope 3 emissions, we’re continuously working on rolling out our code of conduct and achieving data and resource transparency with our key partners.
Supporting a circular economy: By supporting a closed-loop system, we aim to keep tech in use for as long as possible, reducing the environmental impact of manufacturing and disposal.
These initiatives are not only aligned with the criteria of the German Sustainability Award, but also with our commitment to creating a more sustainable world.
